Reignwolf performs "Old Man" live in the KEXP studio.
Reignwolf is the stage name of Jordan Cook, a singer and guitarist who plays his own lean and mean variation on blues-rock.
Cook and his band became fixtures on the Canadian club circuit, and in 2010 they brought out an album, Seven Deadly Sins. Distributed independently, the album didn't fare well commercially and Cook's road band split up. Cook began working up a new act, where he would would sing and play guitar while pounding a kick drum with his feet, or sometimes simply play the drums as he sang. While recording material in Memphis with drummer Matt Chamberlain, Cook crossed paths with Soundgarden bassist Ben Shepherd, who played on the sessions and urged Cook to relocate to Seattle. In late 2011, Cook took Shepherd's advice, and he adopted the stage name Reignwolf as he stormed the Pacific Northwest rock scene.
In 2013, the first Reignwolf single was released, "Are You Satisfied" b/w "In the Dark," and a second, a digital release titled "Lonely Sunday," followed in 2014. In 2016, Reignwolf made his major-label debut with the single "Hardcore," released by the UMG-distributed Monkeywrench Records label.
